My stay at The River Inn was a mixed experience. The cabin was clean and well-equipped for a DIY getaway, and I appreciated its proximity to the national park. However, I had some issues with outdated facilities and limited service options. Overall, it’s a decent choice if you value independence and nature over luxury.

Rooms

The cabin I stayed in had three bedrooms with ample space for our party. however, it felt a bit dated and could definitely use some updates. A few amenities worked well, but there were minor inconveniences like a leaky shower.
Service
5.0
The staff were polite and generally provided what I needed, but the limited office hours made it tough to get assistance outside of them. For instance, I faced some problems with the heating and plumbing, but had to wait for help as the manager was away.
Location

The location was fantastic, just a mile from the park entrance and perfect for accessing gorgeous natural sights. However, driving to some major attractions took longer than expected, which might be challenging for some.
Dining
6.0
While meals weren’t included, the cabin’s kitchen was functional for cooking our own meals, which allowed us to save money. There are eateries nearby, but you have to be prepared for a self-catering stay.
Facilities
5.0
The cabin had basic facilities like a fridge and microwave, but there were little things that needed attention, like outdated keys and iffy WiFi. It wasn't a luxury getaway, but it got the job done for the most part.

I recently stayed in the Kaweah cabin at The River Inn, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The cabin was clean and spacious, perfect for a cozy getaway. The location is fantastic, just minutes from Sequoia National Park, but I did notice some issues with heating consistency in different rooms. The customer service from Jerry and his wife was excellent, but I could see how some guests might have a different experience depending on their specific accommodations.

I had a pleasant experience at the River Oak cabin during my three-day stay. The cabin was cozy and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a lovely deck featuring a hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a long day. However, I did encounter some minor inconveniences, such as limited kitchen prep space and a few quirks with the shower and WiFi service. Overall, if you're looking for convenience near Sequoia National Park, I would recommend this spot, particularly if you enjoy a cabin feel by the river.

My stay at The River Inn was quite pleasant overall. The location is perfect for accessing Sequoia National Park, just a mile from the entrance. The room was clean and the atmosphere peaceful, although the amenities were basic. On the downside, I did find the complimentary breakfast a bit lacking in variety, and I wish there were more dining options nearby.
